Ever want to know more about Wednesday, “hump day?” This refers to making it through to the middle of the work week or as getting “over the hump.” It is also unofficially (and with some irony) referred to as “the peak of the week.”

This is a day to celebrate and make special! I have started to take a class at noon on Wednesdays – this provides two benefits. One – I get out of the house around lunchtime (almost like a real job) and it makes the day different.

Use Wednesday as a peak day – something to look forward to instead of something to just get over. Set some goals and reward yourself on Wednesday when you reach them. Here’s to peaking instead of enduring.

Logmein is Featured for Cool Tool Tuesday

As a VA, there are times that I need to access a client’s computer. I am a fan of GoToMyPc but there is a part of me that loves free!

There are several new products available that work exceptionally well and are – free! The first is Logmein. There are different levels of Logmein from free to purchasing the software. The basic level meets my needs and my clients’ requirements. I can access their computers, do what needs to be done and log off. Just like similar software products, only one person can control the computer at a time.

The other levels will permit you to transfer files, print, etc. However, I have another product that can serve this purpose also. And, it is free. Are you getting the idea? I am a techie junkie – but Queen of Free.

The software was easy to install and IMHO, is faster than GoToMyPc. But this will depend on Internet speed and connections.

Back in the Flow!

Well, after a long absence – I am getting back to regular posting! I am excited to get back and share tips and ideas for those of you who are VAs, want to be a VA or partner with a VA!

I am also the IAAP coordinator for AssistU! This is a wonderful opportunity to bring The International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) and Virtual Assistance together. Since I am also the Colorado Wyoming Montana Division President-Elect – I think the planets are aligning!

I look forward to your posts, comments, and just getting back into the swing of things. It has been a busy summer and we are going into a wonderful time of year with the fall colors, crisp evenings, and comfort foods.
