Scott Allen, writes a great article in the
Entrepreneurs ezine regarding procrastination Procrastination Isn’t Always a Bad Thing . Scott refers to another terrific article by Romanus Wolter in the September 2006 Entrepreneur Magazine, Just Play it Cool .
I am a great procrastinator! Sometimes it gets me into trouble and sometimes it is a blessing in disguise. Which is preferred? Honestly, life would be easier if I just did things when I need to do them.
If you are finding yourself putting something off, that would be the perfect time to sit down and figure out why? Are you uncomfortable with what you need to do? Does it make your stomach churn? Might be a good time to dump that task or face it and get it over with.
One of the tips Romanus menetions is to actually practice it! Why? This can hone your intuition about the situation. Often we don’t listen to our intuition, much to our dismay. Listen to that niggling feeling, that sinking feeling in your stomach, that urge to push ahea, that new idea that pops up during a conversation. Procrastination can be one of your best qualities, if you use it right.
