Send Out Cards

Do you miss family members’ birthdays, anniversaries, and special events by simply getting overwhelmed and forgetting to get that perfect card? Need a fast, efficient way to keep in contact with your customers, do a direct mail to prospects, remind clients of their appointments, or thank them for their business?

I recommend SendOutCards to make your life easier and more well-balanced. This is a service that blends the Internet and the paper card world very well. There are more than 2,000 cards to choose from. Once you pick your card, you personalize it with your own message and even your own signature!

Then, you simply hit ‘Send Card’ and the company will print the card (very nice quality paper and graphics), put a first-class postage stamp on it and mail it for you! You can also include gift cards to stores – like Bed Bath & Beyond, Wal-Mart, and restaurants, if you want!

How great is that!

I love the simplicity and the fact that I don’t have to leave home, read all the cards while standing in a store, and I can get the card out in less than 5 minutes.

The best part?

It costs me less than $1.00 per card. Hmmmm, why would I want anything else? Need more information? Here is a great article recommending the service:

Truth About SendOutCards

You can get a gift account that will let you experience the system on your own and send out a couple of cards to family, clients, and prospects. Just let me know if you are interested and we can get it set up within minutes.

Are VAs Undermining themselves?

I am back in the saddle after a wonderful Colorado-Wyoming-Montana Division annual meeting!

Catching up on the posts from the VACOC, Lorri posted about the following blog by John Hewitt and how to spend $1,000 on a variety of services. One of them was to use a VA service that provides 20 hours of work for 5 months. Hmmmmm, that makes it about $10.00 per hour.

That is not a living wage! If you remember, we are business owners and therefore absorb the normal costs of doing business. Equipment, vacation, insurance, unemployment taxes, Social Security taxes, and more! This would bring that $10.00 down to about $4.00 per hour. Good grief!

Most of the VAs I know have at least one college degree, years of administrative experience, belong to professional organizations, talent, dedication and more to offer their clients.

As Virtual Assistants become more and more in the industry/entrepreneur spotlight – let’s hope that the VAs themselves value their contribution more than $10.00/hour!
